Wheelchair Grants

February 20, 2024 – October 25, 2024

The USTA Florida Section Foundation extends a Wheelchair Grant tailored to support tennis programs that promote inclusivity and accessibility. This grant is dedicated to providing funding for the acquisition of specialized wheelchair tennis equipment, ensuring that individuals with mobility challenges can actively participate in the sport of tennis. By fostering inclusiveness, the Wheelchair Grant contributes to creating a more diverse and enriching tennis community throughout Florida.

Grant Priorities

  • Programs placing an emphasis on wheelchair offerings that attract new players
  • Programs made available for under-resourced wheelchair athletes in economically challenged communities
  • Youth wheelchair tennis programs
  • Adaptive wheelchair tennis programs

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a charitable nonprofit organization as designated by the IRS or be a government entity (schools, parks & recreation sites)
  • Must be a USTA Organizational Member in good standing. Please visit Membership.USTA.com
  • Have a broad base of community support and meet a compelling need in the community
  • Align with the Foundation’s priorities for the wheelchair grant
