During the first cycle of 2019, the USTA Florida Section Foundation awarded more than $26,000 in grants across Florida to community tennis organizations in Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami and other locations. One grant went to WestCare Gulf Coast-Florida’s innovative Rackets and Recovery Program, a therapeutic tennis program to assist women in recovery for addiction. The grant was funded by the generosity of foundation supporters and is just one example of how the Foundation can help benefit your community programs.

HOW TO HELP
Besides a donation, supporters can take advantage of $25 off the cost of a new “Play Tennis!” license plate purchase. 90 percent of all proceeds go toward equipment and program support grant opportunities for under-resourced programs throughout the state. Those who want to support can also sign-up for the RoundUp App, where 100 percent of the change received from rounding-up your purchases goes straight back into the communities needing it the most through grant award opportunities. That means the spare change from your morning cup of coffee to your weekly groceries would go toward helping the foundation change lives in your communities.
