Help Restore Tennis Through GivingTuesday USTA Florida Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund

The USTA Florida Foundation is committed to helping rebuild Florida tennis, following the 2024 hurricane season, which left some parts of the state destroyed. This Giving Tuesday, December 3, you can join in on the efforts and help fuel the recovery process.

This year, the USTA Florida Foundation will be raising funds that will support the Hurricane Relief Grant, a grant where facilities can apply for reimbursement from hurricane damage.

The giving season is a time when you can remember all the joy tennis has brought to your life and help give that gift to others.

Some facilities received funding from the Hurricane Relief Grant back in 2023. Lee County Parks & Recreation was devastated after the 2022 hurricanes but were able to get back on their feet with help from the Foundation.

“The support you [USTA Florida Foundation] have offered has been instrumental in our recovery following the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian on Southwest Florida,” Mack Young, Director of Lee County Parks & Recreation, said. “The hurricane left significant damage in our parks, particularly affecting our tennis facilities, which suffered loss of lighting and fencing damage. Thanks to your generous grant, we were able to replace critical infrastructure, including an electrical transom, to restore and rebuild our tennis amenities.”

Young added that these essential repairs would not have been possible without the support of the UTSA Florida Foundation and is grateful for everyone who helped raise the money for the fund.
