USTA Florida Foundation 2023 Fall Grant Cycle Now Open
The USTA Florida Foundation was created to help advocate, support, and grow tennis in the state of Florida. Our mission, “Changing Lives through Tennis” applies to everyone in the state, regardless of ability, skill, and age. The goal is to see as many people as possible get the opportunity to enjoy the game of tennis, and the Foundation continues to accomplish this, year after year.
Now, the Foundation is prepared to give back once again and has officially opened its Fall Grant Cycle as of August 1, 2023, and it will remain open until October 20, 2023.
If you’re looking for support in the tennis community, whether a new program, needing help purchasing tennis equipment, or want to dive into wheelchair tennis, the Foundation is here to help.
Applications for the 2023 fall grant cycle are being accepted and these are the types of grants that are available.
Equipment Grants
Equipment grants are available and provide tennis equipment for all ages and skills of tennis. It also provides equipment that is needed for adaptive and wheelchair tennis programs.
Program Support Grant
Another grant that is available is Program Support. These grants provide funding for youth tennis, adaptive tennis and other approved Florida tennis programs for special populations of all ages and under-resourced children and adults in economically challenged communities.
Wheelchair Grants
The final grant available are Wheelchair grants, which provide funding for youth and adult wheelchair tennis programs. This is focused on attracting new players from across the states that may be in economically challenged communities.
During the first grant cycle of 2023, the Foundation handed out tons of equipment, program, and wheelchair grants, which helped bring many new faces to Florida tennis.
