USTA Florida Foundation 2024 Grant Cycle Open for Eight Months
The USTA Florida Foundation has officially opened its 2024 Grant Cycle, providing an opportunity for programs and organizations involved with tennis across the state to receive some aid. This year, there’s a notable change as the foundation is changing its grant cycle process, combining the traditional Spring and Fall cycles into one. Starting on February 20 and running until October 25, the cycle will run for just over eight months.
During this grant cycle, individuals, organizations, and programs can apply for various types of grants aimed at growing tennis participation and making the sport accessible for all. These grants include Equipment, Wheelchair, and Program Support Grants.
To be eligible for the grants, applicants must be involved in a tennis program that is open to the public and serves the community. This can include programs for children, adults, seniors, or any combination of these groups. The foundation is particularly interested in programs that promote diversity and inclusion, and that help break down barriers to participation in tennis.
Equipment Grants
These grants are designed to assist with acquiring essential tennis equipment, ensuring that all participants have access to the necessary gear to enjoy the sport.
Wheelchair Grants
This provides support specifically to wheelchair tennis programs. Equipment for these programs can be expensive, turning away participants. By fostering inclusiveness, the Wheelchair Grant contributes to creating a more diverse and enriching tennis community throughout Florida.
Program Support Grants
Finally, Program Support grants offer financial assistance to programs dedicated to growing tennis opportunities withing the state and promoting healthy living. This is a great way to increase the size of your programs and encourage inclusivity among the community.
For individuals and organizations passionate about tennis, the 2024 Grant Cycle presents an excellent opportunity to secure funding and support for their initiatives. Whether it’s acquiring equipment, expanding wheelchair tennis programs, or offering more community tennis programs, the Foundation’s grants can make a significant difference in advancing tennis opportunities statewide.
While the cycle will remain open for eight months, it is important to note that there is a finite number of funds available. So, it is better to apply as soon as possible to secure funding for your program, organization, etc. Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the grant guidelines and criteria outlined by the USTA Florida Foundation to ensure their proposals align with the foundation’s mission and objectives.
